Ranging from chic, contemporary American restaurants serving up steaks and seafood to classic Western chuckwagon dinners, we did our own cowboy-style roundup of the best places to eat in Jackson Hole, WY.

We’ve also compiled a 100-Collection approved guide to Jackson Hole’s best activities to make planning your trip a (crisp mountain) breeze.

1. Breakfast and Coffee

Coffee in Jackson Hole, WY
  • Snake River Roasting Co.– If you love a good cup of coffee, don’t miss Snake River Roasting Co.’s cafe, located in the Jackson town square. In addition to purchasing small-batch, locally roasted beans, you can order from an elevated espresso menu or sit down for brunch.
  • Nora’s– Known for their huevos rancheros and banana bread french toast, Nora’s is a crowd favorite for breakfast. (They’re open all day, though, so make sure to go back for lunch or dinner!)
  • Persephone Bakery– Persephone Bakery puts a Western twist on French bakery classics. They serve up delicate handcrafted pastries, regeneratively-sourced coffee, and larger plates. Plus, they get bonus points for lovely, cottage-inspired (read: Instagrammable) decor.

2. Lunch, Dinner, and Drinks

  • Snake River Brewing– Snake River Brewing is an award-winning Wyoming craft brewery that offers a fun, laid-back time. In addition to a curated menu of IPAs, lagers, wheat beers, and more, they have a full kitchen and plenty of games the whole family will love.
  • Teton Thai– A good choice to accommodate vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free group members, Teton Thai offers a refined menu starring noodles, curries, hearty proteins, and spicy soups.
  • Trio– Trio offers an eclectic, chef-driven menu. Perfect for those who love creative versions of classic dishes, Trio serves up small plates, unconventional mains, and gourmet pizza alongside inventive cocktails.
  • Snake River Grill– Snake River Grill is an upscale restaurant with a private dining room that can be reserved in advance. It is known for its extensive wine bar and sophisticated protein choices like Wagyu ribeyes and dry-aged duck. (Children are permitted, but there are no high chairs or kids’ menus available. So unless your kids adore noshing on Royal Kaluga caviar and chatting quietly about the stock market, save this one for the adults in your group).

3. Classic Western Options

Million Dollar Cowboy Bar, Jackson Hole Wyoming
  • The Million Dollar Cowboy Bar– The Million Dollar Cowboy Bar is an iconic Jackson Hole fixture. It’s not just a bar, though– it’s also a steakhouse and live music venue. Stop by for drinks and dancing, or book a private party / family event in their Lower Lounge area.
  • Chuckwagon Dinners– Hop in a covered wagon and arrive at a cowboy dinner set up close to nature. You can plan your chuckwagon dinner through Bar T Five or Spring Creek Ranch– while slightly different, both will provide a whimsical Western experience perfect for the whole family. Just keep your eyes peeled for outlaws!

4. Local Markets

If you’re planning on making the most out of your Jackson Hole visit by booking a vacation rental with a large, well-equipped kitchen, there are plenty of places for you to pick up ingredients for meals at home and enjoy some local culture at the same time.

  • Farmer’s Markets– On Saturdays during the summer months, you can stop by the Jackson Hole Farmer’s Market in the town square. Or, visit Slow Food In The Tetons’ The People’s Market. Both offer fresh produce, jams, and other goods along with a stronger sense of connection to your food and the people who grow it.
  • Jackson Hole Buffalo Meat Co.-- Enjoy sustainably-sourced game meat like elk, buffalo, and wild boar. Try individual cuts or stock up on a butcher’s box if you feel like cooking multiple times during your stay.
  • Local Boutique Grocery Stores– Check out local grocery boutiques like Aspens Market and Pearl Street Market for fun charcuterie board components, fresh produce, high-quality prepared items, ethically sourced meats, and lovely wines.
