byCottage Connection
Quintessential New England shines in Audrey’s collection of cozy cottages and spacious seaside homes in picturesque Midcoast Maine. Sprawling lawns lead to rocky shorefronts and private docks, while wrap-around porches and waterfront fire pits invite gathering and lovely interiors feature modern amenities, hardwood floors, and nautical decor.
Each home in Audrey’s collection is filled with character, from antique furniture and lace curtains to unique coastal wallpaper and Alewife tile. A blend of historic and modern, you’ll find Civil War-era furniture and whimsical hand-painted murals along with gourmet kitchens and soaking tubs with a view of the water.
Whitewashed pine, vaulted ceilings, and huge picture windows showcasing water views set the stage for a refreshing getaway. You’ll love features like reading libraries and stand-alone studios overlooking the water, bright and airy screened-in porches, and more than 200 feet of waterfront just for you. These are true vacation homes, lovingly furnished, expertly decorated, and full of heart.
Outside, cozy porches boast stunning sunset views, deep water docks and floats inspire aquatic adventures, BBQ grills and picnic tables are perfect for old-fashioned lobster bakes, and you may even see ospreys nesting just beyond the beach. From croquet, horseshoes, badminton and bocce to kayaking, tubing, s’mores, and sunset drinks – you’ll be nothing but comfortable and relaxed with your favorites.

Boating, cocktail cruising, hiking, visiting Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens and Boothbay Railway Village, and experiencing Windjammer Days every JuneA good idea and the drive to make it happen – that’s how Cottage Connection got its start. In 1993, Audrey Leeds Miller and her husband Jeff both had their own careers. But Jeff, a real estate broker, noticed more and more requests for vacation rentals in their coastal town of Boothbay, Maine. Requests that were going unanswered by realtors who wanted to sell, not rent.
When he shared his aha moment with Audrey, Cottage Connection was born. Their vision to focus on vacation rentals and start Cottage Connection more than thirty years ago led to a company whose foundation is based on doing their best every day. The best software, the best team, the best homes – they operate with high standards across the board.
Not only that, but Audrey has been a pioneer for the vacation rental industry, a founding member of Vacation Rental Professionals of Maine, and their first board president. She is an active advocate for the vacation rental industry and a strong supporter of her community, raising funds for marketing her small town, presenting awards (and receiving them), attending summits, and appearing on podcasts to inspire women in vacation rentals.
Audrey and Jeff, and their daughter Alexis, know everyone who visits, every house, and every owner, and they always go the extra mile, so it’s no wonder 85% of their guests return after their first visit. It’s a testament to how much they care about their guests and providing a memorable experience they’ll keep coming back to year after year.
Full of small towns and quaint villages sprinkled along picturesque unspoiled coastline, Midcoast Maine offers a chance to relax, renew, and reconnect. Fill your days with antiquing, enjoy delicious fresh lobster, head out on a whale-watching cruise, discover the nooks and crannies of the bay on a kayak, and browse farmer’s markets and craft fairs.
That’s why Audrey Leeds Miller, Co-Founder of Cottage Connection, is proud to call Boothbay home.
