Nauset Rental was founded by Kent Zelle, who saw an opportunity to rethink vacation rentals on Cape Cod. After years of owning a family home near Nauset Beach, Kent recognized a gap in the market — most rentals were being handled by real estate offices as a side offering, with little focus on the guest experience or long-term care for homeowners. Around 2016, he set out to build a company dedicated solely to full-service vacation rentals, with year-round support and boots on the ground, which thus began the journey of Nauset Rental.

From the start, Nauset Rental approached the business differently. The team takes local knowledge and pairs that with a tech-forward mindset, using dynamic pricing, streamlined booking systems, and thoughtful operations to support both homeowners and guests. Homes are carefully selected and maintained, designed to feel comfortable and livable while reflecting the coastal character of Cape Cod. Today, Nauset Rental continues to focus on providing reliable, hands-on service while helping guests experience the slower pace, natural beauty, and sense of connection that define the Outer Cape.
